Our Story
In 1982 Kerry Truxell begin his electrical career in Ann Arbor Michigan for a small electrical contractor completing energy efficient lighting upgrades in many multiple family complexes. His younger brother Tod Truxell joined him in 1983 and they continued to perform lighting upgrades until 1986 when Tod took a position as an electrical wireman in the residential field.
Shortly thereafter Kerry accepted a management position with a large electrical contractor based out of Bloomfield Hills Michigan. Kerry worked very closely with the owner and the company grew at a very fast pace. Seeing the need for competent electricians he hired his brother Tod and they continued to work together until the spring of 1991 when they saw an opportunity to start up Truxell Electric. With a very small capital investment the brothers joined forces again and are still operating Truxell Electric together today.
